My name is Dr Vinh (Vin) Tran and since 2001, I have had an interest in helping Overseas Medical Graduates and GP Registrars alike in working through their practical FRACGP Exam.  I was one of the refugees from South Vietnam and arrived in Australia with my father when I was seven.  My parents tell me that I speak Vietnamese in an Aussie accent.  For those GPs from overseas with young children, Iam sure that you will be able to relate to this.

Since 2008, Dr Huy Dinh Vu and myself have started a GP Exam Workshop in a Mock Exam format at our Medical Centre in Springfield Central. This was initially funded by the GP Division at the time but since the closure of our GP Division, I have started gpexamsupport.com.au to serve as a medium for that support and networking.

So, the main purpose of this blog is to create a forum in which GP Mentors, GP Educators, and Doctors who will be sitting their GP exam, to exchange ideas and strategies.  Established GPs can also utilize this forum to ask questions for our panel of Specialists and Allied Health Professionals to answer. Medical Students are our future Doctors so they are more than welcome to join in this forum.  In addition, through this forum, Iam hoping to raise more awareness in Mental Health Training within our Medical Profession, and through more awareness and a collaborative approach, we can hopefully make a difference in alleviating the growing Mental Health problem in this country.

Thank you for visiting this site and please give us feedback on how to improve it to help you and others better.
